In this case, world-class skater Ryan Sheckler--known for his award-winning skating wizardry and role in MTV's scripted reality show Life of Ryan--helped design a concave and shape that specifically matches his technically precise skills. The authentic concave is built to provide completely symmetrical side-to-side accuracy, with a smooth nose and tail flux rocker. The concave also ends closer to the nose and tail than on many decks, giving the board a superior overall feel with more strength and stability. The hard rock maple used in the deck, meanwhile, is cured without heat during the manufacturing process, so you can rest assured that the deck is 100 percent warp-free. And the board weighs relatively little thanks to the thin mid ply maple chosen by the company. Hailing from Plan B's Ashbury series--recognizable by its checkerboard and "rising sun" graphics--the deck measures 7.75 by 32 inches and comes complete with silver trucks, Plan B's Superthane wheels, FKD High Velocity bearings, and FKD Pro grip tape.
